I gave a seminar in the Alfred Donatelli Seminar Series of the Department of Chemical Engineering at UMass Lowell: "Three-Dimensional (3D) Fabrication Approaches for Biomaterials in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine."
I gave an oral presentation at the 2024 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit on 3D-printed eggshell microparticle-reinforced thermoplastic scaffolds for bone tissue engineering.
I presented our research, "A Sprayable Hydrogel-Based Wound Dressing for Burn Treatment," as a rapid-fire talk and as a poster at the Society for Biomaterials Northeast Regional Symposium.
I attended the 2024 Symposium on Human Pluripotent Stem Cell-Derived Hematopoiesis during a visit to Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The trip also let me visit my friend Dr. İnci Aydemir, MD, in her laboratory. İnci has supported and inspired me for many years, and it was a pleasure to see her work firsthand.
I visited my friend and former colleague Dr. Xinchen Wu at his lab and toured the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. It was good to see the research there and to catch up with Xinchen, whose work and good humor I have always valued. Visits like this remind me how much it matters to stay in touch with colleagues and friends.
